As a Principal with FMI, Clark Ellis leads the firm’s Residential Practice, providing consulting services to home builders, manufacturers of building products, tools, and equipment, channel participants, and installing contractors. He has contributed his expertise to projects involving market strategy, planning, market research, training and development, and process improvement. While at FMI, Clark has assisted home builders, building product manufacturers, facility owners, designers, contractors, and trade associations in the United States and globally.
He has conducted market research and strategy analysis in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
In addition to these specific responsibilities, Clark’s research priorities are focused on the evolution of the homebuilding market, the changing role of sales and marketing in the building products industry, the disruptive change of distribution channels, and collaborative business relationships in the building and construction supply chain.
These interests—combined with Clark’s background in strategy and marketing—make him particularly effective in helping clients prepare their strategic and operating plans for success.
