Tim Kane

Timothy A. Kane is President of MBK Homes, the homebuilding division of MBK Real Estate Ltd., the U.S. real estate development arm of Mitsui & Co. Ltd., one of the world’s oldest and largest trading companies in the world. MBK Homes develops quality single-family homes and condominiums throughout California for both the entry-level and move-up markets, and is currently building projects in Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties as well as Sacramento.

Mr. Kane has been with MBK Homes since its inception and his career has spanned more than 24 years in the Southern California residential homebuilding industry. He served as the past President of the Sales and Marketing Council and has served on the Board of Directors of the Building Industry Association of Southern California. Mr. Kane was named 2007 Builder of the Year by Builder and Developer magazine. Under his leadership, MBK Homes was named Builder of the Year at the 2008 Laurel Awards in the Inland Empire.

Throughout Mr. Kane’s career, he has held several positions within the commercial and residential construction industry. Before joining MBK Homes, Kane managed an independent real estate consulting and appraisal company, which included MBK Homes among its clients. Previously, he was the Director of Land Acquisition for Barratt American where he was responsible for acquiring sites for residential construction throughout Southern California. Kane also co-founded the Mentor Group, a consulting group specializing in strategic planning for Fortune 500 companies.

Kane resides with his wife in Laguna Beach, California.
