Dream Team
Randy Jackson
Throughout his more than 40 years of experience in planning and design, Randy Jackson has conceived and developed unique land use and community concepts for award-winning communities. He continues to focus his expertise on communities built around and integrating transportation, open space, and park and recreation systems. He has overseen projects throughout the United States, as well as China and the Middle East. Randy is also interested in and committed to redevelopment and revitalization of already developed areas. He recently developed a unique concept for a design competition sponsored by the Southern California Association of Governments and the Orange County Council of Governments. The concept-intensifying and revitalizing strip mall and big box sites in Orange County by turning them into mixed use “suburban villages” — was presented with the Building Industry of America’s Ruby Slipper award and received much attention statewide and beyond. Currently, in addition to his role as a principal at The Planning Center, Randy also is serving as a ULI Governor. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at the University of California, Irvine, and Riverside campuses for courses in land planning and design, and teaches a course in Land Development at UC Irvine.
