Jim Jenkins is an Acquisition Consultant for Shea Homes Active Lifestyle Communities. His responsibilities include market research, land location, contract negotiation, financial analysis, due diligence, and closing escrow for new ‘Trilogy by Shea Homes’ communities across the United States. Previously, Jim was the Vice President of Acquisitions for Shea Homes Active Lifestyle Communities with similar duties.

Prior to joining Shea Homes, Jim worked for Newland Communities as President of its Texas and Arizona divisions, and later as corporate Senior Vice President of Acquisitions. Jim completed the land acquisition, planning, entitlement, development and builder programs for fourteen large master-planned communities, including the acquisition of 20,000 acre Estrella Mountain Ranch in Goodyear, Arizona.

Jim holds a JD from the University of Houston Law Center, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and is a past president of the Greater Houston Builders Association.
