Lora D. Heramb
Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Brookfield Homes San Diego/Riverside Division
Lora D. Heramb is a 40-year veteran of the homebuilding industry. She currently is the vice president of sales and marketing for Brookfield Homes San Diego/Riverside Division, which is selling homes in the master-planned communities of Windingwalk in Chula Vista, The Estates at StoneBridge east of Scripps Ranch, Old Creek Ranch in San Marcos and The Foothills in Carlsbad.
Heramb, who retired from the Del Mar-based company in 2001 and served for several years as a real estate consultant, returned in 2007 to the same senior level position she had held since 1997.
Heramb has extensive experience within the home building industry. She entered the field in 1969 after obtaining a real estate degree from San Diego State University. In addition to her tenure at Brookfield Homes, she also has worked for Leadership Housing Systems, Inc., Christopher Homes, Donald L. Bren Company and California Pacific Homes.
She has received numerous industry and community awards. Most recently, Heramb was inducted this year into the San Diego Building Industry Hall of Fame.
In 2008 Heramb received the Lee Hubbard Award, the local Building Industry Association’s highest honor for charitable and community service, for her contribution’s to BIA Cares and such other industry-led charitable projects as the Playhouse Fantasy and Tour d’Elegance.
Other recognitions include: 2001 Honorary Life Director of BIA Cares, 2000 BIA Industry Professional of the Year, 1999 YWCA Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award, and SAM Sales Director of the Year in 1991 and 1993.
Married for 35 years with two grown daughters, Heramb has been active in her community, serving multiple years as president of the College Lutheran Church Preschool, and a volunteer for the past 30 years with the Women’s Guild of the Home of Guiding Hands.
