Southwest Regional President, Meritage Homes

Fred Hermann has spent over 35 years in every aspect of residential construction. He began as a frame/trim carpenter and owned a custom home building company in Illinois for 15 years before moving into production home building as Senior Vice-President of Operations for Shea Homes in Arizona and California. Fred gained more trade experience as Vice President of Operations for Younger Brothers, a large framing, trim and truss manufacturing company completing over 4000 homes a year in the Phoenix market. In 2001, as President of First Home Builders in Florida, the homebuilding company grew to completing over 3000 homes a year in a single market with a vertically integrated operation that built over 65% of the home with internal craftsmen.

Fred currently is Southwest Regional President for Meritage Homes: the 9th largest homebuilder in the United States. The Phoenix Division has been the company pilot for the Meritage Green Program incorporating new energy efficient building practices.
