Clayton H. Traylor

Policy Director, Leading Builders of America

Clayton Traylor currently serves as Policy Director for Leading Builders of America (LBA). A newly formed trade group representing the largest homebuilding companies in North America. LBA members are strongly committed to building energy efficient homes and are working with a broad coalition to enact federal legislation to make energy efficient new homes more affordable for homebuyers.

Prior to joining LBA, Clayton was Director of Government & Industry Relations at Centex and served as the company’s Sustainability Officer. In this capacity, Clayton developed Centex’s Energy Advantage Program.

Before joining Centex, Clayton was Senior Staff Vice President at the National Association of home Builders where he was responsible for the building codes and standards department as well as the NAHB’s green building program.
